Writing Response

I agree that the idea that "a (journalistic) photographer should protect the truth and represent it as accurately as possible"? I believe that it is very important for a photo journalist to remain accurate and to get the facts. this prevents any confusion and misconception. When someone takes a picture and is going to put it out there for the world to see, they need to be professional. They also need to be respectful of the person, place, or thing that they are photographing. Telling the truth in a story is very important and there doesn't need to be any more confusion. People will make there negative comments and ask questions, but it's best just to say what the truth of the matter is. The more accurate you are the better, which I believe makes for a better story. Yes! There is always room for expression or a creative license in journalistic photography. Adding exciting words and volumizing a story is important! You can always voice your opinion. Tell the story the way that it is, but don't make it to histrionic. You want the reader or audience to believe you. Captivate them by using different techniques.

Is it Art?

Is it ART?

I believe that this picture is Art because it portrays a unique style, and makes the audience use their imagination. Any picture is art. This picture seems very intense, but at the same time it keeps you interested. It makes me want to know what is going to happen next.
